Janet studied flute at the Royal College of Music and, in a long professional musical career, has accumulated experience in all relevant and requisite adjudicating skills. As a professional orchestral flautist, she worked with most major UK orchestras, including many years as principal flute with ENO. She has headed Wind Departments at Chethams, the Purcell School and Brent, and is a long-standing examiner for EDEXEL and Trinity Guildhall. Many ex-pupils are now filling top flute-playing positions throughout the world. Janet has been a Federation specialist and general adjudicator for 26 years. fegdj Gen
