Welcome to the 2024 Portsmouth Music Festival. Once again, we are looking forward to enjoying an exciting programme of performances from our entrants, be that in instrumental music, dancing, speech or drama.
The Festival continues to go from strength to strength as a performance platform for anyone and everyone with an interest in the performing arts and is a unique showcase for local talent, particularly so amongst our young people. The Festival is very much a community event and its success is entirely dependent on its participants, their teachers, schools and families.
As always, the Festival is proud to be offering a number of special opportunities for performers in collaboration with our sponsors. These include the Ports Fest Recital Prize, the Solent Symphony Orchestra Concerto Award, and an opportunity for two young musicians to be sponsored to attend the European Youth Summer Music Festival (an award made jointly by the Festival and the Milton Glee Choir).
