Festival Details

Ibstock Novice Dance Festival was established in 2018. We at Shaw Festivals (who also run Coalville Choreography Festival) made the decision to introduce a brand-new opportunity for those dancers who are just starting out into the festival world without feeling the pressure of the open (and busier) festival.

Perfect for beginners, we cater for solos, duets and trios for ages 3 to 19 in classical and cabaret styles of dance from Ballet and Contemporary to Acro and Tap.

We aim to be a fun, relaxed and friendly festival who encourage the new starter to believe in their own potential and help boost their confidence. We like to make them feel at home when they are backstage which also helps increase their confidence.

This festival is connected to our Main festival as the highest marked solo trophy winners gain free solos at Coalville Choreography Festival. At the moment we are a fun two day Festival with hopes to grow and possibly introduce more opportunities that match our main event in November.
