Our President, Margaret Venables, has made the decision to step down from the role. As a previous Chair of the organisation, Margaret moved into the President’s role in 2014 and has greatly supported the organisation over the last decade. On behalf of the Board, the staff team and the wider membership, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to Margaret for the unwavering commitment and dedication she has given to the Federation. Margaret leaves the role with our heartfelt thanks and best wishes.
As Margaret steps down, we are delighted to announce Steven Roberts as our new President. As with Margaret, Steven is a previous Chair of the Federation and also an active music adjudicator and festival organiser. As such, Steven comes with a wealth of knowledge and experience of our organisation which will benefit the role.
We hope you will join us in thanking Margaret for her outstanding service as President and warmly welcoming Steven into this new role
