Worksop Music and Drama Festival

Saturday, 6 March, 2027 to Sunday, 7 March, 2027
Closing date for entries:
Friday, 22 January, 2027
Festival Location:
Worksop, Nottinghamshire (Mountgarret Recital Room and St Cuthbert's Chapel)

We are a festival based in North Nottinghamshire and attract entrants not only from Nottinghamshire but from the surrounding counties. We were formed in 1904 "for the continuation of good music and brightening of village life” and we are still going strong today! We are a very supportive festival and welcome all performers wishing to showcase their talents to an enthusiastic audience and to gain valuable feedback from our Adjudicators. This year we would like to welcome back Nadia Hinson GRSM(Hons), LRAM, LTCL as our very knowledgeable adjudicator. This is the first weekend of our fun and welcoming festival. There are a wide variety of classes for string, brass, woodwind, harp, organ and piano all held in Worksop College.

Saturday 6th March is woodwind, brass, pipe organ, two skills and strings. All classes are held in the Mountgarret Recital Room at Worksop College apart from the pipe organ classes which are held in St Cuthbert's Chapel at Worksop College (an opportunity to play a fantastic organ!).

Sunday 7th March is our immensely popular piano day with classes for beginners, duettists and soloists right through to the advanced pianists at grade 8 and above standard. There are also possible string classes and two skill classes.

Entering is easy! Either follow the link from our website to runmyfestival or if you have entered our festival before you will already have an account with runmyfestival so you can enter by directly logging in to runmyfestival.

We look forward to seeing and hearing you all in March!
