Festival Dates: 21st, 28th and 29th September 2024
The committee of the East Herts Festival of the Arts have been born out of the need for more competitions in our local area. Due to the growth in the region of the population, with many new dance schools being built, there is not the capacity in the current festivals to accommodate students from these new schools. This has meant dancers (and their families) have had to travel long distances just to compete.
With the current cost of living crisis firmly in mind the committee were in no doubt they wanted to open up the local area once again for these dancers and their families. We are passionate that the skill and love of dance performance should be open to all and not become something that is becoming increasingly only for those who can afford the burden of additional travel and accommodation expense on top of their lessons and costumes.
